nu:view Breast CT Scanner
DESIGNED FOR CLINICAL EXCELLENCE
nu:view, developed by Erlangen-based company AB-CT, is the world's first breast CT scanner to utilise spiral CT and photon-counting technology. It stands out due to its exceptional image resolution, low radiation dose, and rapid scan times. To achieve optimal image quality and maximise radiation dose efficiency, nu:view employs a state-of-the-art single photon-counting detector. Unlike traditional scintillation methods, nu:view uses direct-converting detectors made of cadmium telluride (CdTe). During a single rotation around the female breast, up to 2,000 projection images are generated, with a complete spiral scan taking only 7 to 12 seconds. This process is performed without breast compression, ensuring excellent patient comfort. For the first time, this CT scanner allows for the acquisition of true 3D images of the entire female breast in a single scan, free from superimposition and with superb soft-tissue differentiation. nu:view integrates seamlessly with your RIS and PACS, enabling secure image storage and a smooth workflow.
